Care Continuum Alliance Announces 2014 Research Priorities

Care Continuum Alliance (CCA), the leading advocate for population health improvement, released its research agenda for 2014, which emphasizes engagement, value on investment and measure development, all issues that apply across markets and respond to the stated needs of the organization’s members and partners.

Care Continuum Alliance (CCA) presented the 2013 Outstanding Leadership in Population Health Awards to 14 researchers from Accenture, Banner Health, Carolina Advanced Health, Disease Management Purchasing Consortium, Indiana University School of Medicine, Ohio Department of Medicaid, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Optum, Silverlink Communications, Sun Health, Telcare, and UnitedHealthcare for their contributions to the population health management industry.

Care Continuum Alliance (CCA), the leading advocate for population health management and wellness, announced today that it has added ten new Board of Directors members, including top executives of Accenture, Accountable Health, Alere, ASAP Brazil, HealthFitness, ICA, Noridian, Silverlink, Sun Health, and Viridian.

Three national health organizations have published new guidance today intended to help employers create more successful programs for gathering health-screening information from employees. Known as “biometric screenings,” the gathering of such information—ranging from height and weight to blood pressure and cholesterol levels—can play a key role in an employer’s workplace wellness program.

The Care Continuum Alliance announced today that Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and Scottsdale Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane will be the opening speakers for the Visionaries Series Keynote Speakers on October 24 and 25, respectively, at the organization’s annual conference, CCA Forum 2013, to be held in Scottsdale, Arizona, with the theme, The Value of Population Health: Implementation Matters.
